Hello, my name is Alvaro Ramos but I go by AL. I’m a designer, based in Maryland, specializing in helping brands tell universal stories.
Growing up with dyslexia I often misspelled AL as La, for so long I tried my hardest to mask these errors. It was not until I started design I realized the potential I was concealing. Design has taught me to connect with my inner child and embrace the mistakes and tension which are inevitable with any design.
For this reason, I have come to love and enjoy the beautiful moments of tension I can create when designing. The awkwardness of a misspelled word can lead to new discoveries -- so too can unconventional material, color, form and choice.
